Q: How did you get interested in UFOs?
A: I was 16 years old when I had my first encounter. It was March 20, 1996. I was walking through my neighborhood when I witnessed a huge, bright light hovering at treetop level. After observing the object for about five minutes, I still couldn’t figure out what it was. I decided to ring the doorbells of my neighbors because I figured that a “grown up” would have an answer for me. I managed to get four eyewitnesses. But they were really more shocked than I was. After about 10 minutes, the object took off at a tremendous spend. That day changed my entire life. I have been studying UFOs ever since. Q: When did you join MUFON, and what is your current work within the organization? A: I joined MUFON in 2006. I started out as a Field Investigator in northern California under Ruben Uriate. I then moved to Texas and worked with the MUFON STAR Team. Currently I reside in Denver, Colorado, and am still a part of the STAR Team & SAT Special Assignment Team. Q: With your years of Field Investigator work, what has been your most interesting case? A: Interestingly enough, I had a case where two individuals were driving a car when a UFO picked them up. Q: Is there any particular aspect of ufology that most interests you? A: The cases that most interest me are military personnel encounters, crash retrievals of UFOs and contactees. Q: Over the years the subject of UFOs has evolved from that of absurdity to a highly regarded field of research studied by educated and well written individuals. What do you feel was the turning point? A:I believe that the turning point was the age of the Internet. It has become very difficult to censor UFO information thanks to the World Wide Web. Besides that, the Internet has brought the whole world together. It is so much easier to network than it ever has been. |
